Implemented:

Potion Journal

  • Dedicated Potion Journal navigation button and interface.
  • Every potion archetype has an individual journal entry.
  • Displays:
    • Appearance name
    • Remembered identity
    • Rarity
    • Confidence percentage
    • Memory condition
    • Known or partially known effect
    • Guild knowledge
    • Permanent preservation state

Memory decay

Potion memories now decay dynamically over time.

100% → Certain
80%+ → Confident
60%+ → Remembered
40%+ → Uncertain
25%+ → Fuzzy
Below 25% → Almost forgotten

Permanent records remain at 100% and do not decay.

Re-identification

Drinking a potion still restores its personal memory to full confidence.

An Alchemist Identify action is also available in the journal. The service:

  • Charges server-authoritative gold.
  • Uses higher prices for rarer potions.
  • Restores identification confidence to 100%.
  • Reveals the potion’s identity and effect information.

Partial rare-potion knowledge

Potion effects are revealed progressively.

Low confidence shows only vague information. Higher confidence reveals:

  • General effect category.
  • Whether the effect is temporary or permanent.
  • Exact stat values.
  • Exact duration.
  • Exact healing strength.

Rare Potion of Lasting Might records can therefore remain partially understood until confidence is sufficiently high.

Guild-shared knowledge

Guild members can share records once personal confidence reaches 60%.

Guild records store:

  • Potion identity.
  • Effect summary.
  • Confidence.
  • Contributing player.
  • Last confirmation time.

A stronger record replaces weaker guild information without allowing weaker submissions to reduce existing confidence.

Permanent knowledge preservation

A difficult preservation reward is now available.

Requirements:

  • Level 10.
  • 100% personal confidence.
  • 1,000 gold.

Successful preservation permanently records the potion formula in the player’s journal and prevents future memory decay.

Inventory fixes

The Inventory screen now includes:

  • Potions and normal inventory items.
  • Creature loot.
  • Equipment.
  • Equipped-item status.
  • Equipment durability.
  • Equipment modifiers.
  • Level restrictions.
  • Dismantled materials.
  • Recovered treasure and crafting materials.

Equipment remains manageable through the dedicated Equipment screen, but it is now also visible in the main Inventory.

Advancement button fix

The navigation controller now explicitly handles the Advancement panel.

The button now:

  • Opens the Character Advancement interface.
  • Hides the map and other panels.
  • Loads the latest advancement state.
  • Refreshes available attribute points, perks, specialisation, derived statistics, and active potion effects.
