{"id":117,"date":"2018-11-13T15:01:14","date_gmt":"2018-11-13T15:01:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dealers-of-destiny.co.uk\/?page_id=117"},"modified":"2018-11-13T15:01:14","modified_gmt":"2018-11-13T15:01:14","slug":"justice","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dealers-of-destiny.co.uk\/?page_id=117","title":{"rendered":"Justice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"graphics\/justice.jpg\" alt=\"Justice\" width=\"256\" height=\"63\" \/><\/p>\n<p>                     <?php include(\"virtues_links.php\"); ?><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>Justice<br \/>\n                       is part of a philosophy within Ultima Online known as the Virtues, and is<br \/>\n                       one of eight pursuits within the Virtue system.<\/p>\n<p>                       The Virtue of Justice has been described thusly:<\/p>\n<p>                       <i>&quot;Justice is the truth of what is right and wrong in human action and the<br \/>\n    love of what is right.&quot;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>                       Players will be able to pursue the Virtue of Justice by killing murderers<br \/>\n                       (red-hued player-characters).<\/p>\n<p>                       <span class=\"a10b\">Gaining Justice<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                       In order to gain points in the Justice Virtue, you must kill murderer characters<br \/>\n                       (red-hued player-characters).<\/p>\n<p>                       Safeguards will be in place that will prevent exploitation of this system.<br \/>\n                       Details on these safeguards will not be disclosed. <\/p>\n<p>                       <span class=\"a10b\">Virtuous Title <\/span><\/p>\n<p>                       When a character has achieved any number of Justice points, he is considered<br \/>\n                       to have achieved a certain step on the path of Justice.<\/p>\n<p>                       If you move your cursor over the Justice symbol in your Virtue window, a title<br \/>\n                       will be displayed, indicating the step currently achieved in Justice for your<br \/>\n                       character. \n                       <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&nbsp; <\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p><i>First<br \/>\n                           step<\/i>: Seeker of Justice <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p><i>Second<br \/>\n                           step<\/i>: Follower of Justice <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p><i>Third<br \/>\n                           step<\/i>: Knight of Justice <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>Players<br \/>\n                       who progress any number of steps on the path of Justice, but do not continue<br \/>\n                       to actively pursue it, may discover that this Virtuous title reduces in steps<br \/>\n                       over time. You must continue to follow the path of Justice in order to maintain<br \/>\n                       your title.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>                       <span class=\"a10b\">Virtuous Abilities<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                       Gaining steps in Justice will grant you the ability to protect any number<br \/>\n                       of characters which are non-criminals\/non-murderers. You must have achieved<br \/>\n                       at least the first step in Justice in order to be able to offer protection<br \/>\n                       to another character. <\/p>\n<p>                       You can activate the Justice Virtue ability by double-clicking the Justice<br \/>\n                       icon on the Virtue window, then targeting an innocent character. <\/p>\n<p>                       You\u2019ll only be able to offer your protection while the target innocent character<br \/>\n                       is within a non-consensual Player-versus-player (PvP) ruleset area (i.e. the<br \/>\n                       Felucca facet). However, moving into a consensual PvP ruleset area (i.e. the<br \/>\n                       Trammel or Ilshenar facets) will not break the protection relationship. <\/p>\n<p>                       If the target character is already protected or in a consensual PvP ruleset<br \/>\n                       area, you will receive a system message stating:<\/p>\n<p>                       <i> &quot;You cannot protect that innocent right now.&quot; <\/i><\/p>\n<p>                       The target of the protection offer will not be disturbed in any way (they<br \/>\n                       will not receive any message or window). This condition will not count against<br \/>\n                       the player&#8217;s 1 offer per 15-minute limit. <\/p>\n<p>                       If you are inside your 1 offer per 15-minute limit, you will receive a message<br \/>\n                       stating:<\/p>\n<p>                       <i>&quot;You must wait a while before offering your protection again.&quot;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>                       Players that are offered protection will be given a special request notice:<\/p>\n<p>                       <i>&quot;{Player-one} is offering you protection. Do you accept the offer from<br \/>\n    this pursuer of Justice?&quot; <\/i><\/p>\n<p>      The innocent may decline protection by selecting &quot;no&quot; on the request window.<br \/>\n                       If the innocent declines protection from a pursuer of Justice, then that Justice<br \/>\n                       character may not request to protect any innocent again for at least 15 minutes. <\/p>\n<p>                       Although a character may protect any number of innocents, an innocent may<br \/>\n                       only have one protector at any given time. <\/p>\n<p>                       <span class=\"a10b\">Ending the Protection Relationship<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                       At any time, a protected player may break the protection relationship by selecting<br \/>\n                       a context menu option on their own character labeled &quot;Cancel Protective Relationship.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>                       Upon cancellation, both players that were in the protective relationship will<br \/>\n                       receive the message:<\/p>\n<p>                       <i>&quot;The protective relationship between {Player-one} and {Player-two} has<br \/>\n        been ended.&quot; <\/i><\/p>\n<p>                       The protective relationship will also be broken should either character log<br \/>\n                       out. <\/p>\n<p>                       <span class=\"a10b\">Benefits<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                       The benefits of Justice-based protection are only in effect while both characters<br \/>\n                       are within the same non-consensual PvP ruleset area. <\/p>\n<p>                       Whenever a protected character receives one a &quot;scroll of power&quot; as a reward<br \/>\n                       for killing a champion of evil (the &quot;boss monster&quot; from a dynamic spawn area),<br \/>\n                       the protector will also have a chance to receive an exact copy of that same<br \/>\n                       scroll of power. <\/p>\n<p>                       Each step gained in Justice will progressively grant the character a greater<br \/>\n                       chance to receive scrolls of power in this manner. \n                       <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&nbsp; <\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p><i>First<br \/>\n                           step<\/i>: 60% chance <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>Second<br \/>\n                           step<\/i>: 80% chance <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>Third<br \/>\n                           step<\/i>: 100% chance <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>The<br \/>\n                       protector must be on the same server as the protected character in order to<br \/>\n                       have the possibility of receiving a scroll of power in such a manner. For<br \/>\n                       example, no benefits are in effect while the protector is in the dungeon server<br \/>\n                       and the protected character is in the Lost Lands. <\/p>\n<p>                       Protectors that receive scrolls of power in this manner will receive a notification: <\/p>\n<p>                       <i>&quot;You have been rewarded for your dedication to Justice!&quot; <\/i> <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Justice is part of a philosophy within Ultima Online known as the Virtues, and is one of eight pursuits within the Virtue system.
